PV Panels

PV Panels
Solar PV, Photo Voltaic panels come in many different sizes and ranges of outputs in watts, that combined into one array with associated inverters can produce all your electrical needs, for grid tied or off-grid solutions. We supply an assortment of PV panels from US vendors including Massachussetts-based Evergreen, plus Beacon Power and Solectria Inverters (at least one is required to qualify for additional Mass rebate incentives). To learn more about Mass & NH rebates and incentives, please visit our page on "Solar, Tax Credits and loans."

Smart Power™ M5
5kW Grid-tied PV Power Conversion System

The Smart Power M5 from Beacon Power is a newly engineered power conversion system designed specifically for grid-connect photovoltaic applications with battery backup. It offers high-efficiency electronics and instant, continuous backup power capability — day or night — in one integrated, outdoor-rated package.

The Smart Power M5 is today’s best choice for reliable, efficient solar electric power conversion. Its unique hardware and software architecture enables safe, continuous and efficient operation. Even in the event of grid outage, the Smart Power M5 system with battery backup will continue to provide you with PV and/or battery power for critical loads — making it a truly dependable power source. The Smart Power M5 comes as a fully integrated, single-box solution in a compact outdoor rated enclosure that houses the inverter, battery charge-controller, associated switchgear and ground fault protection. Installation and testing are faster and easier than with separate components and connections.

Residential Small Wind Turbines

Residential Small Wind Turbines

The ReDriven 2 kw wind turbine system is an excellent system for on-grid applications where 250 kwh -500 wkh of power per month will provide the necessary capacity to offset partially or fully the utility bill for your seasonal property or home.

The ReDriven 2kw is a tailed unit that uses the wind direction to help it determine where best to capture the wind. This turbine head weighs approximately 116 lbs (53 kg) and comes with the ReDriven controller, a Power One Inverter, blades.

Product Features:

  • Start up wind speed is 4.4 mph
  • Rated wind speed (generate 2 KW) is 20.1 mph
  • Maximum power 2000 watts
  • 3 blades measuring 3.2 meters in diameter
  • Recommended tower height is 9 meters

5KW Wind Turbine

5KW Wind Turbine

The ReDriven 5 kw wind turbine system is the first in our line of non-tailed units. The technology found in the 5 kw ReDriven Controller is identical to the larger 10 kw and 20 kw units. Therefore you receive all the advantages of a larger unit packed into this ultra efficient power house.

This unit can also be paired with our optional 39'(12m) or 52'(16m) Hydraulic towers. The advantage of the hydraulic tower is that it permits you to erect the tower without a crane. This also facilitates servicing. The 5 kw system provides sufficient power to meets about 50% of the electricity needs of a typical household. Installation requires a concrete pad to erect the tower, connection to your electricity panel and several additional components. This on-grid unit can really help deliver the power through your meter.

Product Features:

  • Start up wind speed is 4.0 mph
  • Rated wind speed (generate 5KW) is 22.3mph
  • Maximum power 5000 watts
  • 3 blades measuring 6.4 meters in diameter
  • Recommended tower height is 16 meters

Evacuated Thermal Tubes

Evacuated Thermal Tubes
Evacuated Tube-collectors offer great performance to store heat for domestic hot water and space heating. They are what we reccommend in New England where the climate is cold and often cloudy in the winter. The vacuum tubes provide superior insulation and prevent heat loss. These tubes can generate enough heat to not only supply domestic hot water year round, but also supplement hydronic heating systems such as radiant and hydro-air.
